Complete Apple Juice Production from Fresh Fruit to Clear or Cloudy Juice
The Apple Juice Processing Line is a comprehensive industrial system designed to transform fresh apples into high-quality clear or cloudy apple juice. Apples are one of the most widely cultivated fruits globally, and apple juice remains a staple beverage in nearly every market. This production line allows you to capture the natural sweetness, aroma, and nutritional value of fresh apples while extending shelf life through modern preservation techniques.
Our apple juice processing line covers the entire workflow from fruit reception, washing, sorting, crushing, pressing, enzyme treatment, filtration, clarification, blending, sterilization, to hot filling or aseptic packaging. The line is available in capacities ranging from 500kg to 20 tons of fresh apples per hour, making it suitable for small orchards, medium-sized juice factories, and large commercial beverage producers.
Why Choose Our Apple Juice Processing Line
Apple juice production offers two distinct product paths: cloudy juice and clear juice. Cloudy apple juice retains suspended particles that contribute to a fuller mouthfeel and higher nutritional content, including more polyphenols and dietary fiber. Clear apple juice, on the other hand, undergoes additional filtration and clarification steps to achieve a transparent, shelf-stable product preferred by many commercial bottlers. Our line can be configured for either type, or both, with the addition of an ultrafiltration module.
The crushing and pressing stage is critical for achieving high juice yields. Our system uses a hammer mill or rasping crusher to break apple cells efficiently, followed by a belt press or screw press that extracts up to 85 percent of the juice from the apple mass. For customers requiring even higher yields, we can include an enzymatic treatment tank where pectinase enzymes break down cell walls, releasing additional juice and improving pressing efficiency by 5 to 10 percent.
For clear juice production, our line includes an enzyme dosing system, a pre-coat filter using diatomaceous earth, and an ultrafiltration membrane system that removes all suspended solids and colloidal particles. The result is a brilliantly clear, stable juice that resists clouding during storage. The sterilization system uses high-temperature short-time technology to eliminate spoilage microorganisms while preserving the fresh apple flavor. Hot filling into glass bottles or PET containers follows immediately.
All equipment is constructed from stainless steel 304 or 316, with smooth internal surfaces that prevent bacterial growth and facilitate cleaning. The line is designed for automated operation with PLC control, allowing one operator to manage the entire process from the control room.
Processing Stages
Fresh apples are first dumped into a flume washer where circulating water removes dirt and leaves. A brush washer with rotating rollers scrubs the apple skins to remove wax and residual field materials. An inspection conveyor allows workers to remove rotten, damaged, or unripe apples. A hammer mill or rasping crusher breaks the apples into small pieces of approximately 5 to 10 millimeters.
The crushed apple mash is pumped into a holding tank where pectinase enzymes are added and allowed to react for 60 to 90 minutes. The treated mash then enters a belt press where juice is squeezed out through a filter cloth while pomace is discharged. For cloudy juice, the extracted juice passes through a finisher to remove coarse particles and is then deaerated to prevent oxidation. For clear juice, the juice proceeds to a pre-coat filter and ultrafiltration system.
The clarified or cloudy juice then passes through a high-temperature short-time sterilizer, typically operating at 85 to 95 degrees Celsius for 15 to 30 seconds. The sterilized juice is immediately filled into pre-sterilized bottles, cans, or aseptic bags. For carbonated apple juice products, we can add a carbonation module prior to filling.
What We Offer
We provide complete engineering support including factory layout design, equipment manufacturing, installation supervision, and operator training. Each apple juice processing line is tested at our facility before shipment, and we provide a video record of the test run. Spare parts are included with every order, and we maintain a global inventory for fast replacement.
For orchard owners and small-scale producers, we offer semi-automatic configurations at lower price points. For large beverage companies, we provide fully automatic lines with CIP systems, integrated quality control sensors, and remote monitoring capabilities.
Contact Us
Please inform us of your intended daily processing capacity, desired juice type (cloudy or clear), and final packaging format. We will prepare a customized proposal including a process flow diagram, equipment list, factory layout, and quotation. Free sample testing using your apples is available at our factory.
